Our historical replica of the total solar eclipse of 1869 was repaired from a original chromolithograph. It includes two pictures showing the burner corona: one of the sun just before the eclipse and the other of the sun during the total eclipse. The silky background and gritty, high-contrast texture of the prints perfectly depict the mystique and breathtaking grandeur of this important celestial event.
