The Baronagium Genealogicum, which was printed in 1784, tracked the ancestry of the English nobility and included incredibly fine engravings of family crests as illustrations.
It was made by Joseph Edmondson, a painter and genealogist whose specialty was applying heraldic coats of arms on coaches. These beautifully framed prints accurately recreate plates from Edmondson's work, which are appreciated today for both their aesthetic value and their view into the past.
